Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgeries and restorative treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental X-rays and develop radiographs for diagnostic use
- Manage patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
- Administer anesthesia monitoring and post-op care instructions
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Train new staff on clinic protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB required
- Tennessee dental radiology license mandatory
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Expertise in 4-handed dentistry and infection control
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environment
- CPR/BLS certification current
