Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and maintain sterile treatment environments
- Assist dentists during examinations, fillings, and extractions using proper instrumentation
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems accurately
- Sterilize equipment and maintain infection control protocols
- Order inventory and manage dental supply stock
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
