Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and sterilize equipment using advanced autoclave systems
- Document surgical cases via our HIPAA-compliant EHR platform (remote option available)
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams during complex cases
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for surgical workflows
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in general surgery
- Proficiency with sterile processing protocols and equipment
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and procedures
- Ability to work independently during remote administrative tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- BLS certification and willingness to obtain additional specialty certifications
