Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during exams and treatments (including four-handed dentistry)
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Handle inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA required)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification (BLS preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
