Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records using digital software (Epic/Dentrix)
- Implement strict infection control protocols
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Coordinate patient flow and scheduling
- Provide chairside support during complex treatments
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with digital radiography and imaging
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-volume practice
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred
