Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures and chairside operations
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and sterilization protocols
- Take dental X-rays and maintain digital imaging records
- Manage patient scheduling and recall systems efficiently
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or RDA credential
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis, Sirona)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols (OSHA/CDC)
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification and BLS training preferred
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software a plus
