Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Mobility Support: Help patients transfer safely from bed to wheelchair and provide ambulation assistance.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, and vital signs to the RN on duty.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with light medical tasks as directed.
- Household Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals, assist with light housekeeping, and run errands related to patient care.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and reduce isolation for homebound patients.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Indiana CHHA (Certified Home Health Aide) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification.
- Licensure: Valid state license and current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal vehicle required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or hospital setting preferred.
- Attitude: Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented professional with a strong work ethic.
