Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as per care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with special dietary requirements
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Document care activities and maintain accurate client records
- Comply with all state and federal healthcare regulations
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and families
- Report any changes in client condition to care coordinator immediately
Qualifications
- Active Home Health Aide certification in District of Columbia
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform standing tasks
