Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Prepare and maintain patient examination rooms and equipment
- Assist with patient intake, documentation, and electronic health records (EHR)
- Collect and process lab specimens following strict protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- BLS certification required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish bilingual skills highly preferred
