Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems and maintain medical records
- Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and medication administration
- Schedule appointments, manage phone triage, and ensure smooth clinic workflow
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventative care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends as needed
