Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and administer medications under physician supervision
- Perform EKGs, vital signs, and point-of-care testing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Collect and process lab specimens
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eCW preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work across multiple healthcare facilities
