Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Perform vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and point-of-care laboratory testing
- Administer injections and medications per physician protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verification, and manage patient flow
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program certification or equivalent experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
