Responsibilities
- Provide virtual clinical support including patient intake, vital monitoring, and medication reconciliation
- Assist providers with telehealth appointments and electronic health record documentation
- Coordinate patient care plans and referrals across multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct telephonic patient education and follow-up communications
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality standards
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient portal communications
- Collaborate with care coordinators on chronic disease management programs
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong telehealth technology aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- North Carolina state licensure (if applicable)
