Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical history, and updating records.
- Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tests, administer injections, and handle specimen collection as directed.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, answer phones, and handle front-desk reception duties.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Sanitation: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, sanitized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certifications.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient privacy and empathy.
- Technical: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
