Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with procedures and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis, following strict protocols.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor office procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and answer incoming calls.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; a Certificate in Medical Assisting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to be trained on the job for all clinical procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy and comfort.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced medical environment.
