Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and complete intake forms accurately to ensure smooth check-in processes.
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and update patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- Coordinate patient referrals, prescription refills, and follow-up appointments.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
