Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient information and maintain electronic health records
- Perform vital signs measurements and basic diagnostic tests
- Administer injections and medications under physician supervision
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish fluency highly preferred for diverse patient population
- Valid Texas driver's license for travel between locations
