Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and patient preparation for examinations
- Assist physicians with medical procedures and maintain accurate patient records
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment for weekend operations
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations during weekend hours
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with nursing staff to maintain seamless patient care continuity
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification and current Florida state credentials
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in fast-paced weekend environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
