Responsibilities
- Administer injections, medications, and wound care under physician supervision
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical equipment, and supplies
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory procedures
- Document patient histories, vitals, and treatment plans in EMR systems
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Manage inventory and order medical supplies efficiently
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Strong phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Exceptional patient communication and empathy abilities
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- North Carolina state license in good standing
