Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying demographics and insurance information accurately.
- Assist providers during patient examinations by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Record patient vitals, symptoms, and medical histories as directed by healthcare providers.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform basic lab tests (e.g., EKG, phlebotomy) following strict safety protocols.
- Prepare and maintain medical records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and post-care instructions.
- Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA, RMA, or MA certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
