Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and EKG procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterile environments and proper equipment functionality
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management to optimize clinic efficiency
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care settings
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification with current credentials
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure environments
