Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Submit electronic claims to insurance payers and track claim status
- Manage patient billing statements and payment collections
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical staff to verify documentation
- Generate monthly revenue reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Proficiency with medical billing software (Epic, Athenahealth, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes
