Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontics
- Perform patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Dentrix software
- Coordinate lab cases and material inventory
- Ensure operatory readiness and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA required)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR certification (BLS)
- Proficiency with digital radiography and charting systems
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
