Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on claim denials
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient and insurer communication
- Utilize billing software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth) efficiently
- Generate monthly financial reports and analytics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding systems and claim submission
