Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and payment discrepancies through appeals and follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and industry coding standards
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies
- Advanced experience with medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
