Responsibilities
- Accurately process medical claims and insurance reimbursements
- Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage
- Code diagnoses and procedures using CPT/ICD-10 standards
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on denied claims
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with electronic claims submission
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
