Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases using established triage protocols
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate urgent care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with precise documentation
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek emergency care
- Manage high-volume call centers during peak hours while maintaining quality standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS/Certification required; ACLS and TNCC preferred
- Proven expertise in emergency department or urgent care triage
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems and telehealth platforms
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during high-stress situations
