Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims using CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for accurate billing
- Manage account receivables and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Analyze denial reports and implement corrective actions
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen practice management systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
