Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression of our facility.
- Manage front desk operations including answering multi-line phones, directing calls, and managing incoming mail.
- Schedule patient appointments accurately using our EMR system, ensuring optimal clinic workflow.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect copayments or balances due at the time of service.
- Maintain and update patient medical records and registration forms with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and patient flow.
- Process new patient registrations and handle insurance verification requests efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Medical Administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or front desk role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-service-oriented attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a significant plus for our diverse patient base.
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.
