Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and patient scheduling
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Handle patient intake, insurance verification, and billing support
- Provide telehealth support for remote patient consultations
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work 20-30 hours/week across shifts
- Basic phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
