Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care laboratory testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure accurate documentation
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments and handle patient intake procedures
- Maintain sterile examination rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) or completion of accredited program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Washington state MA certification or eligibility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
