Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide medication counseling to patients with clear instructions
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience in retail or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of medication dispensing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
