Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient records using pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional customer service, including medication counseling and prescription inquiries
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Assist with sterile compounding when required
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workstations
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in Nebraska (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Valid Nebraska driver's license (for deliveries if applicable)
- Background check and drug screen required
