Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmacy inventory and ordering systemsProcess insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and HIPAA regulations
- Operate automated dispensing equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for patient care
- Maintain clean, organized pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active Maryland Pharmacy Technician license (required)
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Basic computer proficiency (PharmacyRx, Epic systems)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
