Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain precise patient records and HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for prescription clarification
- Operate pharmacy dispensing technology (e.g., robotic systems)
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in Texas (PTCB or ExCPT)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency (EMR systems)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Familiarity with pharmacy inventory management
