Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Perform sterile compounding for IV medications and chemotherapy
- Maintain precise medication records in pharmacy management systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and Texas State Board regulations
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual a plus)
- Pass background check and drug screening
