Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for prescription verification
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Washington Pharmacy Technician license (PhT)
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Background check and drug screening required
