Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications according to prescriptions
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory and ordering processes
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and compounding
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide medication counseling to patients and healthcare staff
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Maintain clean and organized pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Nevada pharmacy technician license
- Minimum 1 year hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
