Responsibilities
- Precisely prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and insurance details for accuracy
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) for record-keeping
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and DEA regulations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Valid CPR certification preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
