Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory with strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with clinical teams on specimen quality assurance
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong venipuncture skills for challenging vascular access
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with specimen handling expertise
