Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, and micro-collection procedures with precision and care
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic health systems
- Ensure all equipment is sterilized, calibrated, and functioning optimally
- Provide exceptional patient care with empathy during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely results
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA compliance standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume healthcare environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required
