Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA guidelines
- Maintain accurate patient records using our electronic health record system
- Assist with specimen preparation and lab testing procedures
- Ensure proper equipment calibration and infection control protocols
- Provide patient education on blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient workflow
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and OSHA standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling
- Valid California driver's license (for mobile phlebotomy routes)
