Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Label, process, and transport specimens to laboratory departments
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols
- Maintain detailed patient records and documentation systems
- Provide exceptional patient care with empathy and professionalism
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize workflow efficiency
- Train new phlebotomy staff on established procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
- CPR certification preferred
