Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in critical care units including ICU, ER, and telemetry
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and hospital safety protocols
- Supervise LPNs and nursing assistants as assigned
- Participate in rapid response and code blue emergencies
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN or higher preferred (ADN with 2+ years acute care experience)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in acute care setting
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling
