Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in acute care units with precision and empathy
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Monitor patient vitals and document EHR entries accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal care plans
- Educate patients/families on discharge protocols and health management
- Adhere to JCAHO standards and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in rapid response team activations
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN preferred; ADN with 2+ years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- EMR proficiency (Epic systems preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to handle high-acuity cases in fast-paced environments
- Valid DEA license for controlled substance administration
