Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in emergency, ICU, and general med-surg units during night shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per physician protocols
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to critical situations using rapid response protocols
- Document electronic health records (EHR) with precision and timeliness
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain infection control standards and safety compliance
- Mentor new staff and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois (IL RN)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered
- 1+ years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to adapt to flexible night shift schedules (7pm-7am)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
