Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and Surgical Services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and specialized nursing interventions with precision
- Document patient assessments and progress using advanced EHR systems
- Mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations with calm expertise
- Advocate for patients while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Active DC RN license (or compact state license with quick DC endorsement)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 3+ years ICU experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in relevant specialty
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and computerized charting
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care excellence
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
