Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by interviewing, observing, and examining patients.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans and modify plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and care plans.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred, with acute care experience a plus.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
