Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor health needs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient care plans, progress notes, and clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide critical care support during weekend shifts.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, including critical care or med-surg.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
