Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning across diverse medical units
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions with precision and documentation excellence
- Lead interdisciplinary care coordination and patient education initiatives
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and NY State Board of Nursing standards
- Utilize Epic EHR systems for accurate documentation and care tracking
- Mentor junior nursing staff and contribute to quality improvement projects
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (current and in good standing)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred for specialty units
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in hospital setting
- BLS/ACLS certifications; PALS/NRP for specialty roles
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
